This post will detail my experience with creating a dining table using NURBS curves. I had never used NURBS curves before this and found it quite difficult to do. I’m still having trouble with them but hope that with time I will improve.

I started making the table by inserting a circular curve and using the birail function to make it a whole object.

I then created cube primitives and duplicated them to use as table legs.

After this I drew curves across the front of the table and used the loft tool to join them together as one object, this would be the cloth across the top of my table. Although it isn’t as flat across the top of the table as I’d like it to be, I’m happy I was able to make it work as I struggled initially.

I created two circular curves, one larger than the other and used the loft tool to make them one object. I then created a sphere as my fruit. I found it hard using NURBS curves but I hope to get better as I use them more.
