This is a post to detail my work with one and two point perspective drawing.

The image above shows my first attempts at both one and two point perspective drawing. I did these drawings while watching the video tutorial on canvas so there is no direct inspiration for them, they are both random shapes.

The first of the two images above is the inspiration for my two point perspective drawing. I used it as inspiration because I am not very good at perspective drawing right now so I thought it would be an easy way to start. The second of the two images is my attempt at a two point perspective drawing inspired by the first image. The drawing lacks much detail and is quite rough as I’m not very used to drawing right now.

After drawing buildings, I wanted to return to basic shapes so that I could get better at the basics as the image I last drew had lines that were off and aspects that could’ve been improved. With this image, I primarily focused on having all horizontal lines moving towards the vanishing points. I believe I was successful in this, moving my work a step forward in looking better.
I then added a small sun diagram to the top left to indicate a light source and roughly shaded the effects of a light source coming fown from this direction. I shaded sides that were hit by the light brighter than those not and drew some shadows for shapes that would’ve had them. Doing this will help in the long run as city scenes will look far better if properly shaded according to the light cast upon them.
