Working with Illustrator, I wanted to try and make some minimalist art. I went to Google images in search of an image that I could try and make myself and then take inspiration from for my own work.
The image I chose to try and make was Infographic Paradise Design’s minimalistic vector cityscape (2017). I chose this as it was a simple image that could get me started with minimalistic vector art slowly.
My attempt at copying the piece didn’t go completely well as I am still getting used to using Illustrator. I managed to get the general look of the image but the finer details are missing from my attempt.
I feel that my attempt to create my own minimalist vector art went better than the copy I tried but still lacks the detail to make it as good as the piece that inspired it.
