This weeks activity for 3D asset design involed texturing the box model we previously made using substance painter.

I started by creating a new project and choosing the low poly box to import.


I texured the main box and the metal supports differently. The box has a smart material applied to it with the roughness turned up and the metalness turned down. I then painted on the text using a font and turned down the height to make it look like it was imprinted in.

I then added a smart material to the metal pillars fill layer and adjusted the color so they were a bit darker.
