I have further developed both the look and background of my character. The background development includes a more fleshed out description of the character. He will be a single father who works a construction job to keep him and his daughter housed. He’s of a large build but is a gentle person, unless provoked. Due to being a construction worker he will need high visibility gear and also a hardhat to stay safe on the construction site. This gear will also need to be available to fight in. I have listed and drawn various accessories and pieces of clothing the character would wear.
When looking for various pieces of armor, I kept in mind that I would want to mix it with the standard uniform that the character would be wearing. For example, I would mix the hardhat and headgear together so that it remains functional but would also provide protection when necessary.
I have also started to develop the face of the character. When I went into it, I knew that I wanted a bald and bearded, white male character. I tried hair on two designs but didn’t develop them any further. I drew nine different heads/faces with different features on each. In the end I chose the ninth face to develop further. This face is a more anime inspired face having closed eyes. In the development of this face, I tried a couple with eyes and without. The main change of this face when developing it were the eyebrows. I tried six variations of the face before I combined the elements I liked into a seventh face that I will use going forwards. This face has eyes as I felt they were important due to having to actually model the character. I kept the slightly rugged mustache and beard and also left the character bald.
