I have further developed the blockout for my sewer level. I primarily focused on cleaning up and finishing the exterior of already created areas although I have added more to the level today.

The first area I finished off is the off shoot of the second room, the maintenance room, stairwell and ventilation area. I added the walls a ceiling to each area. In the stairwell, I brought the walls to the edge of the stairs so that it felt a bit more claustrophobic leading up to the vents being extremely tight.

After this, I looked at the starting area again and decided I needed to resize it again. This time, I think I got it right with the walkways being thinner than before. I also added a ceiling to the area.

I then put a ceiling on the second area.

I then put walls on the mine area, I used the grey wall colour as when I tried brown it became hard to see. The colour will not be grey in the final level.

I then moved onto the larger cave area, I added walls and a ceiling to this.

I used a variety of pillar sizes so that if the player takes the wrong path, they will have to try again. I didn’t want it to be so easy that the player would run through it but also didn’t want to annoy the player by making them try it again and again.
