My role for the project is to use Unreal Engine to create the playable game. This involves creating the level, adjusting the lighting and creating mechanics so that the game can be played.
The animations used were created by Matt Aspland (2021), the character models used are the default Unreal Engine mannequin, they were not created by me.
I first blocked out the level in Unreal Engine using basic Geometry.
As the game follows a noir theme, I created lighting that would reflect that. The world is covered in fog and very dimly lit. Key elements will be highlighted with spotlights, background elements will have spotlights highlighting them.
To allow the character to hide from enemies and fit in small spaces, I added the ability to crouch.

To allow the enemy to chase the player when detected, I added various elements to the enemy blueprint.
Enemies will patrol from one set point to another.
