Both yesterday and today’s sessions involved each group presenting their ideas before the class and taking questions, as well as feedback. Lee and I presented our idea today as there wasn’t time yesterday.
The presentation followed Lee’s Professional practice – Idea Generation and Influences page, available here: https://bowers-2020.hulldesign.co.uk/2022/02/24/profesional-practice-idea-generation-and-influences/
Lee talked through the beginning of the presentation. This involved explaining the inspiration for the project as well as the marketing and design aspects.

The first section of the page details the aesthetic inspiration for our project. The theme we chose is noir, a darker theme with a limited colour pallet but stand out details.
The second section of the page show possible sprite inspiration as well as explaining the possibility of using 3D models and presenting the game in a 2.5D perspective. Also detailed is the use of branding and marketing alongside the game itself to strengthen the project.
Following on from Lee, I displayed the mind map I had created. I explained that I had written down any and all ideas I could think of, covering a broad variety of elements. After I had gone through the mind map, Lee showed a quick example blockout of what the game might look like.
Once the presentation was finished, we received feedback from Robert. We were told that although we had an idea, it wasn’t very fleshed out. This is something we plan on working on over the coming weeks.
